Check Out
Check-In Policy & What To Do About Missing Pieces
Check the board game into Evergreen
Double check if there are any late fees and inform the patron if they owe late fees.
Remove the laminated board game supply list.
Count all the cards. If there are 24 or less of a specific piece, count each item (pieces, gameboard, coins, etc.). If there are more than 24 of a specific type of piece, eyeball it. Yes, we know it’s a lot of pieces. You can do it! Think of it as a meditation exercise to calm your mind.
If the game has all of the listed pieces, return the game to the Board Game Library shelves, in rough alphabetical order.
If the game does not have all the listed pieces, add a sticky note with the missing pieces and move it to the Problem Shelf. Email library@gordon.edu to let us know there are missing pieces.
If your shift is over and you don’t have time to fully check-in the board game, leave it on the Board Game- Needs Counting shelf. Make sure that it is checked in to Evergreen before leaving.
If you receive a lot of games in a shift (for example, if the Gordon College Tabletop Club is returning games from an event), check in all the games in Evergreen and text the group chat so that incoming student workers know to check the Board Game- Needs Counting shelf.
