How Do I Find a Specific Article?

What do you do when you see a citation in an article and you want to find that article for your own research? Watch this video to learn how to find academic journals or magazines available in print and online at Jenks Library.

Many of these journals are available, in part, online. Search Journal Finder to check for online availability. All journals available in print are located in the 4th floor Periodicals section of Jenks Library. Here are some you might find particularly useful in your research.

Note: each of the links below jumps you to the journals record page in Journal Finder. To browse issues or search within, click on an access link below the title (such as ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials (EBSCO) 01/01/1983 - present) and then either drill into the specific year, volume, and issue you would like or look for the "search within link" on the left to run a keyword search within that journal.

Interlibrary Loan is a service you can use anywhere, anytime. It allows you to request journal articles that Jenks Library does not have full-text access to. What does this mean? If you find an article while searching Google or are recommended one to read by a friend, but can't find it at Jenks, we can probably still get it for you.

Using Interlibrary Loan

To use Interlibrary Loan to request articles, fill-out the Interlibrary Loan Article Request Form with as much information as you can (hint: use the citation). We'll try to track it down from another library. Articles will be emailed to you as a PDF when they become available. Take advantage of this service while you can!
