Course Guide

Welcome to the course guide for Intro to Music Education. This guide is intended to provide quick links to top resources to use for research on the music pedagogy, music history, philosophy of education, and teacher resources. There are many resources available to the Music Education students located in different collections throughout Jenks. Get familiar with some of the collections in the library by scanning the guide's homepage for location information.

Find books on music, literature on music, and instruction and study in the M-MT section located on Stack Level 3. 

Browse our collection of Classical Music from composer such as Bach, Mozart, Chopin and more. Check them out at the Circulation Desk. 

The M-MT section in the Reference Room contains encyclopedias and dictionaries, including the New Grove Encyclopedia of Music & Musicians.

Scores from well-known composers as well as musicals and other productions are available in the 4th Floor Hallway.

The Curriculum Library, located off Stack 3, contains music education guides, kits, instruments, and other music related tools to use in your classroom. 

Music journals such as Music Educators Journal, Instrumentalist, and Opera News are available in the Periodicals section on the 4th Floor.
