Clarendon Street Baptist Church

The Clarendon Street Baptist Church played a large role in the early years of Gordon. Not only did A.J. Gordon, the then pastor of the church, and a number of the church’s deacons begin Gordon College (Boston Missionary Training School), but the church also served as classroom space. It also became the church of a number of the school’s students. The collection includes early church records including membership lists, financial information, and the Clarendon Light newsletter.
